New Mexico plants 100 trees in the metro

New street trees were planted in a couple Albuquerque neighborhoods on Saturday morning.

To increase urban forestry in the Bareles and Raynolds communities, Tree New Mexico and volunteers came together.

100 new trees that provide shade for the walkways and enhance the neighborhood were planted along the streets.

They will donate 100 more trees to the same community the following week.

The "Let's Plant Albuquerque" campaign is responsible for these tree plantings.

In ten years, it is intended to plant 100,000 trees all across the city.
